VITO is the official winner of the German Sustainability Award 2026 in the Products category. The expert jury recognizes our VITO frying oil filter as a practical innovation that delivers measurable contributions to resource efficiency, climate protection, and sustainable business practices in foodservice. The official award ceremony will take place during the #DNP25 Transformation Congress on December 4–5, 2025, in Düsseldorf.
Our award-winning frying oil filters reduce oil consumption by up to 50% by removing suspended particles and bitter compounds through daily microfiltration directly in the hot fryer. This significantly extends oil life at consistent quality, without any chemicals.
A key advantage of our technology is how simply it combines ecological and economic benefits: using less oil means less packaging, transport, and disposal - and thus a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions and overall resource use.
Thanks to its efficiency, practicality, and scalability, our system delivers results in operations of every size - from snack bars to large multi-unit concepts. The filter is complemented by our digital platform VITOconnect, which enables data-driven oil management and unlocks further optimization potential in day-to-day kitchen operations.
With more than 50,000 active units worldwide, we demonstrate that sustainable innovation doesn’t only happen in large projects—it also thrives in everyday processes used millions of times.
“This award confirms our commitment to actively shaping the transition to a more sustainable foodservice industry with simple yet highly effective technologies. Sustainability works best when it is economically sound and easy to implement.”
